Dr Pau Salsas joined the panel of discussants at the event “Beer Serves Europe VI” to debate the latest economic developments and their implications for the brewing industry, and to present the findings of the Europe Economics study on the costs of production of the different alcoholic sectors [not yet published].
In their press release for Europe Economics' report on "The Contribution made by Beer to the European Economy", the Brewers of Europe announce that the European brewing sector has returned to growth, with hundreds of new breweries being created, as well as bringing benefits in terms of value added, employment and tax revenues.

Europe Economics is currently seeking to recruit as an Analyst, a highly motivated economic theorist with an interest in applying microeconomics to real-world issues. The successful candidate should either hold a PhD or have submitted their thesis and expect to receive their PhD soon. Additionally, the successful candidate would need to have a strong mathematical background and a clear interest in Microeconomics Modelling and the Economics of Corporate Finance. Applicants would also need to have good communication and team-working skills and be able to work under their own initiative.
