Dermot Glynn
Dermot Glynn is Chairman of Europe Economics.
His areas of expertise include economic regulation, competition policy, and public policy evaluation. He has worked extensively in the utility sectors, directing consultancy projects and providing expert advice to both regulators and regulated businesses. He has led numerous seminars on the concepts and techniques of impact assessment of public policies, and recently chaired the expert panel advising the National Audit Office (NAO) in its review of impact assessments carried out by UK Government Departments and agencies.
Dermot Glynn is one of the UK’s most experienced economic consultants. Before founding Europe Economics he served as Economic Director of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Chief Economist at KPMG, and UK Managing Director of NERA. He read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Balliol College, Oxford, and was a member of the Department of Applied Economics at Cambridge University.
